Development Proposals Rotorua Lakes, New Zealand

Nick Robinson provided landscape assessments and reviews of planning applications for the development of various sites overlooking Lake Tarawera. The proposals included subdivision of a large deer farm to create residential lots, an accommodation lodge, a sports and recreation centre, and extensive re-afforestation in the Rotorua Lakes Planning Zone. This zone is classified as an outstanding landscape of national significance and Nick’s role included assessment of the likely effects of development proposals and the preparation and presentation of professional evidence at the local hearing.
