Griggs Road Residential

Ths 25 hectare site was until recently a combination of forestry and high quality bush, typical of the puriri-taraire forest of the area. After harvesting of the pines and tasmanian blackwood forest crop, it is being developed as 15 lot residential subdivision with views of the Hauraki Gulf and Rangitoto. Nick was engaged to survey and assess the existing vegetation and watercourse ecology. He prepared an ecological management plan to satisfy the condition of resource consent. This included both ongoing management and weed control in existing bush and 5 ha of new revegetation and restoration planting. The site construction is currently underway including roading and service infrastructure and the landscape and ecological management contract will continue over a five year period until established. The emphasis has been on meeting RA requirements whilst creating a top quality residential environment for future owners.
